Hey friend-os! I am subletting my room in Astoria for the summer because I'm going off to camp. Please pass this along to anyone who might need a room for two months. E-mail me with questions. Thanks!

The dates for the sublet would be June 19th - August 17th. These dates are flexible, especially on the August end. The apartment is located in Astoria, Queens a quick 30 minute subway ride to Midtown Manhattan on the N/W train off the Ditmars stop. The apartment is a seven minute walk from the subway in a great neighborhood with lots of grocery stores, laundromats, restaurants and close to all amenities. And you'd be close to the Bohemian Beer Garden for the summer. Who could ask for anything more?

You would be living in one fully furnished bedroom of a three bedroom apartment. Your roommates would be a couple of fun, clean female professionals. The apartment has a spacious kitchen and shared living room. Your room has a private patio and access to a garden! Rent will be about $750/mo including internet and cable. It'll be about $30 more for electric. Please e-mail me [louie4711 at gmail.com] if you're interested!

Hey everyone I love.

Just had an amazing, amazing night. The Chappies had a show at the Magnet that we put a lot of work into. And it went incredibly well. Like - much better than any of us thought it would go. Like - the audience loved it and there were a lot of them. There to see us, and there to see the other group that went with us, and even the other people who weren't there to see us liked us!

It reassured a lot of stuff for me. Important stuff. Like the fact that I should be doing comedy in New York. That I have a voice that is vital and that people enjoy. I think all of the Chappies feel a lot better about our instincts, and that is important. This wasn't just a show for our friends with us fooling around. Being at the Magnet gave how we feel about comedy a sort of legitimacy that I think we all needed right now.

For me, trusting my instincts was all about trusting the other four members of my sketch group. And my instincts paid off. It made me feel like some of the choices I've made in the last few years were the right ones. The show made me feel smart and cool and most of all legitimate. And I haven't felt that for a while.

I made the right choice, spending this amount of time with these people, who I love so much. We just did wonderful work. I made the right choice, going off with the people who I loved the most and attempting to make the summer last the entire year.

This show goes down on my list of my favorite shows I've ever gotten to be involved with. And that's a short list (and with some digging, you can find some dear diaries about all of them on this blog). The list is me directing Dream Operator in the summer of 2000, UBC Improv's Last show in the Spring of 2002, doing the Vancouver Improv Fest with Kaitlin that first time around in 2006 and this show. So that's pretty special. I literally have the greatest comedy boyfriends in the entire world.

I also just realized that I left the bar we were at tonight without paying my tab. Guess I owe some comedy boyfriends some money.

Joni Mitchell - Court And Spark - Court And Spark

I did this for that shitty 25 things facebook meme that is floating around, but ended up liking it a lot.

--

On Earth-One I am now 28 years old. Slugging along at all the stuff I've been doing for the last few years and doing new things too. I am almost too old to have some of the interests that I have (like, um... Comic Books), but that's not stopping me from having them. I work too hard and sometimes wonder if I'm putting energy into the right things.

On Earth-Two I am now dead. I would have been 58 years old if I was still alive. I moved to NYC in 1972. I hung at Max Kansas City and later CBGB's where I wore torn jeans and slammed around a lot. I worked as an usher at a movie theater and played the ukulele. I never found mainstream success, got sick from what was then known as "The Gay Cancer" and died when I was 32.

On Earth-Three I'm a real asshole. I work as a junior executive at an oil company. I eat too much steak and do a lot of coke all the time. I live in Huston, Texas. I'm not out of the closet and have a girlfriend named Heather who I have very shitty sex with.

On Earth-Four I collect comic books about pirates and am currently worried about USSR/USA relations. I hate current-president Nixon. It is 1985 and the sky seems gray all the time.

On Earth-11 I'm a nice 28 year old woman who is a serial dater. She writes funny articles for a few different magazines and has a two other roommates in Astoria. She wishes she could afford to live alone.

On Earth-Eleven (not to be confused with Earth-11) I never existed because a Nuclear War obliterated this Earth in 1966.

On Earth-12 it is 2018. I am 38 and still go out to clubs to dance to good music every once in a while. I write content for an internet website about comedy. I live in a floating apartment complex over Brooklyn with my boyfriend who works for a cloning facility. We don't know how we feel about cloning.

On Earth-Twelve (please don't confuse Earth-Twelve with Earth-12. It's easy to keep them straight if you visited them, I promise) I wear shoes on my hands and hats on my feet. I pay Andrew to videotape school plays. The Story Pirates write stories and children perform them. My best friend is a talking car.

On Earth-13 I live to be 700 years old, because I make a decision with myself not to die. I spend 20 of those years in a mental institution and 500 more of them wandering the planet helping people, but for most of my life I stay on the DL and have a few close friends. When I do finally die the last thought in my head is that I should have made my decision to die years ago.

On Earth-50 I am pretty much the same, but don't shave as much, wear my doc martin boots a lot more and have a pretty wicked temper.

On Earth-61, I live on the Upper-West side, because it's 1967. My hair is long. I am a kindergarten teacher. I go into the west village on the weekends and have a good time. The Army declared me unfit to serve, which is why I'm not in Vietnam. I have done too much acid.

On Earth-86 I am an anthropomorphic ape-man. I am a fierce warrior who rides a giant lizard to battle the last remaining humans on earth. I am in love with my sergeant who is my superior, but I don't dare tell him.

On Earth-96 I am 47 and run a successful comedy theater in Vancouver. I've got two adopted kids and a wonderful long-term partner named Chris who works at a video game company. I perform every Sunday with people who I love and am teaching every day.

On Earth-97 I am an Indo-British speed skater from London, England. I am 17 years old and am trying to get into the Olympics. I'm almost out of school. The only resemblance to myself on other Earths is my name, Louie, which, on this Earth, is a nickname.

On Earth-154 my son, Jim, is a really successful writer and producer of comedies. I am proud of him. I am in my sixties and still teach kids how to be funny every once in a while. I never found anyone I was truely in love with and poured all of my energy into my son. Heidi is Jim's biological mom.

On Earth-276 I am Lenoard Pearl. I am pretty much the same guy, but not as interesting. I'm a little more stereotypically gay and geeky. I am more wholly sad when I'm sad and more happy than me when I'm happy.

On Earth-1191 I met a boy when I was in college in Vancouver. He ended up being a Vampire. After biting me, I became his miserable, soulless, slave to him for 850 years, finding other people for him to seduce and bite. We lived under the Commodore Billiards on Granville street and slept in coffins during the day. I was destroyed by a Vampire hunting robot in 2849.

On Earth-C I am a very silly gay duck.

On Earth-C Minus I am a gay duck who can shoot lasers out of his eyes. My alternate earth counterpart on Earth C reads about me in comic books that are written about me. This is not confusing at all.

On Earth-D I am black and the President of the United States.

On Earth-S I am a very hard working mentor and nanny to a bunch of rich kids who have a great rock and roll band and go on adventures. I am also a talking tiger. But I am not like the gay duck at all.

On Earth-X I never existed. Because the Nazis won World War II.

On Earth-616 I'm pals with this guy Peter Parker. My friends and I go out for drinks with him on Saturday nights. But he's always leaving at inopportune times and none of us know why. My friend Nora has a crush on him.

On Limbo I don't quite remember who I am. I wander the crumbling cities of Limbo with my uke in my hand, playing random chords but never full songs. I want to get out so badly but getting out is not under my control.

On Dreamworld I am a wonderful tree growing in central park. Kids have attached a swing to me and climb up my branches. I can grow any kind of fruit that I want but am partial to Oranges and Bananas. In the winter, I am sad because no kids play with me. But in Dreamworld, winter only lasts a day so it's OK.

I just sent this e-mail to Barak Obama and I urge you to do the same. You can do so here:

http://change.gov/page/st/contact

Hello Transition Team:

First of all, congratulations on your well deserved win, President Elect Obama. I am very much looking forward to your new administration taking office in February and beginning to institute the changes in social, governmental and economic policy that this country so badly needs.

I am writing specifically today to comment on Obama's choice to include Rick Warren in his inauguration in February. I find this choice incredibly disappointing. I understand that Warren was invited to do the Inauguration Invocation to include a segment of the American population who's views differ in certain aspects from the upcoming administration's. I also respect Warren and his Church's right to hold these views in our country. However, I am very worried about the attention that Warren's homophobic opinions and actions to "cure" gays and lesbians will receive on Inauguration day and leading up to it.

I know that it might be politically difficult to rescind Warren's invitation, although I strongly hope that you do. If you cannot, I think inviting another pro-gay rights religious leader to do the invocation with Warren is the way to demonstrate the inclusiveness that this administration seems to care so much for.

I know that many other Obama supporters feel the same way about this issue. Please take some time to seriously reconsider Rick Warren's invitation.

Thank you.
